Use of the Emergency Room

In only rare instances should you take your child to an emergency room without first calling us, and many insurance plans will require that you do so. By calling us first, we can help you decide the need to be seen in the emergency room versus whether your child’s symptoms can wait for an office visit the next day. Besides, we care about our patients! If there is a dire problem with your child, we want to know about it. It is essential you know which emergency room your insurance carrier will allow you to use so our physician can better direct your care.
